"Storytelling is the first step for people to talk to each other, and more importantly, hear each other"
Qisetna: Talking Syria is an online multimedia platform of which Juan delGado is the Creative Producer.
Qisetna is the Arabic word for ‘Our Story’. Qisetna:Talking Syria is a non political social, inclusive and cultural project aiming to engage
Syrians and people with a connection to Syria in sharing their stories. This collaborative project, which began in 2013, offers the public an insight into both the wider culture and personal narratives within the Syrian refugee community.
Alongside the imagery, the Altered Landscapes installation provides headphones through which the audience can listen to voices of the people who have been displaced, telling their stories and sharing their experiences. The personal narratives featured originate from Qisetna: Talking Syria.
